Build a Better Bikini

I can't say that swimwear was on the top of my "to do" list when I woke up this morning, but when I found out that Brazilian-Bikinis.net launched it's new "You As a Designer" feature, I couldn't wait to kick my inner bikini designer into full gear! This fab do-it-yourself feature came about after Thales Panagides, founder of http://brazilian-bikinis.net/, received several requests from all over the world asking if it would be possible to tap into their production facilities and know-how.

"You As a Designer" allows budding fashionistas to design and private label their own bikini collections. How, you ask? First, you need to send them digital pictures or personal sketches of bikinis you like. (Or, if you have an actual bathing suit that you’ve created, you can send it directly to their offices in Brazil.) Once they have your photos/sketches/designs, you will choose the fabric patterns, colors, cuts, designs and accessories.

Unfortunately, fabulous things aren't free (well, except for the kisses my high school boyfriend used to blow at me between classes!) To have a prototype of your bikini made will cost you $150, but that’s cheap when you consider the time and money you won’t have to spend on materials and a design studio. And, with the holidays right around the corner, maybe you'll find a little extra cash in your stocking this year ;)
