ShoeTube: Carrie Bradshaw Is Gonna Crap Her Pants!

I'm not going to lie. I have at least 40 pairs of shoes (and that's being conservative). Some are new, but most are older than Moses, tucked away collecting dust because I'm positive that one day, I will have something to wear with them. (Granny boots WILL come back, I just know it!) As a result of my shoe habit, I would probably fall under the "shoe lover" umbrella. Or the "shoe hoarder" umbrella. Or both. Anyhow, imagine the look on my face when I laid eyes on the homepage of the newly launched ShoeTube.tv.

I wouldn't exactly say I was blown away by the site (what's up with those whack black heels?!) but I was intrigued to say the least. As you might imagine, each section of the site has a cute shoe-related name. "Behind the Boot" covers designers and celebrities, "Walk on By" stops women in the street to talk about their bunions, and "Sole Deep" argues that shoe love should be taken seriously. (I was really bummed that they didn't have a section called, "Kick These To The Curb.") My fave was "The Daily Shoe," the daily homepage video shoe blog (or "shlog") that features women rambling on and on about shoes. (It's almost as bad as spending the afternoon with a bunch of grandmother's passing around photo books of their grandchildren. S-C-A-R-Y!)

But seriously, if you want to know everything there is to know about shoes (and I mean everything) in an online community setting, then you will likely find ShoeTube.tv both useful and entertaining. Just be forewarned that these are not necessarily "pure" recommendations. Shoetube.tv admittedly offers paid sponsors the opportunity to promote their brands through video ad overlays, Shoetube.tv boutique microsites, banners, contests, and polling efforts. But somebody's got to pay the bills, right?

So, for now, I can feed my shoe habit with the occasional ShoeTube.tv video blog. Let's just hope that THIS woman doesn't start a video blog. (Ew, I just threw up in my mouth. Actually, I just threw up on my shoe.)
