Stop Your Squinting: Fashionable Eyeglass Trays For The Spectacled Fashionista

I'm nothing close to a scatter-brained professor. Yet we do have something in common - and no, it's not a gray beard. You see, because glasses are so cute and easier to manage than contacts, I wear them a lot. (A lot, a lot.) The only problem is that I can't always find them. And well, that's a glacier-sized problem.

Scouring my bedroom half-blind is a trial I'd rather pass up. And though there is an admittedly triumphant feeling when I finally locate my glasses (akin to finishing a marathon, in my world), I'll gladly trade that for some extra minutes to perfect makeup, or scarf down some sugary cereal.

Ergo, eyeglass trays come into the picture. They're great to have whether you have prescription glasses, or just wear lots of sunglasses (I'm adding this to my list of 'what to get the person who has everything'). It's a completely practical purchase, and yet oddly fun when you take into account the patterns that are available.

The selection of patterns from Decorativethings.com is the widest I've found. Rainbow stripes, skulls, elephants - they have great stuff. They offer four patterns (including the adorable Poodle Pink, and crazy-fun Satellite Pink - both shown) you can purchase that will help benefit Breast Cancer Research. • The Green Eyeglass Tray from Pompominteriors.com. It's green, with clear glass beading for trim on the rim of the tray. If mermaids wear glasses (and maybe they do) I think this is what they store their glasses on. Just call me Ariel. But word the the wise - don't listen to me sing.
