Years ago, a Siamese fighting fish was gifted to me by a love interest. (Little did I know that it was his "summer of love" and I was only penciled in for spring). Eventually, the love turned into like, and the fish (appropriately named "Turbo" given the quick end to the romance) swam to fishy heaven. But one thing that lasted was my love of these graceful water fairies.
So, imagine the pure joy on my face when I saw what looked like Siamese fighting fish swimming down Rodarte's fall/winter 2008 runway. Not only were the dresses ethereal and airy, they were oozing with the depth and complexity only found in nature. Bravo, Kate and Laura Mulleavy!
