Stop The Puffy Headband Bus! I'm Getting Off.

Dear Mary-Kate Olsen,

WTF doesn't come close to explaining my reaction. Please, please, please, just fire your stylist. And while you're at it, delete Marc Jacobs from your speed dial for ever resuscitating the puffy headband trend. You see, unless you're an athlete (think John McEnroe circa 1977), or have an extra sweat gland in your forehead, the puffy headband is a fashion faux pas. (Make that a complete fashion disaster.)

Don't take this the wrong way, but your ensemble at the recent Fool's Fête event had me wondering if somebody had secretly replaced your Virginia Slims with some Californian Skunk bud. Or worse, Olivia Newton-John had finally gotten her claws into you. A word of advice? Look in the mirror before leaving the house. Oh, and just because it comes off of a Marc Jacobs runway doesn't make it the slightest bit fashionable. (When H. Naoto did bonnets, Louis Vuitton did spiral headpieces, and Ne-net did bunny masks for their fall/winter 2008 shows, they were just for effect. So we better not see you running around with metal on your head any time soon. You hear?)

If you really want to wear a headband across your forehead, try one of these. And steer clear of blogs that mention you for the next couple of days. They're not pretty.
