According to style.com, Luella Bartley's 2008 fall/winter collection was inspired by Britt Ekland in “The Wicker Man" and the witch museum in Boscastle, Cornwall, UK. But watching the models come down the runway was more like watching an army of Madame Alexander dolls marching towards me, which is sort of creepy in it’s own right. (*sigh* This is probably going to give me nightmares.) Do you see the eerie similarities?

What a great idea! Pick the idea first (the dolls) and then find runway looks to match! Wickedly clever, like the French Victorian one.

I actually see the looks on the runway (sometimes an entire collection, sometimes single pieces from different collections) that remind me of a theme (e.g. dolls, birds, etc.) Then I try to find images to match the fashions :)
