The Door Into The Fashion Blogosphere Is Narrow

Yes, it's true that anyone with access to a computer and some Internet savvy can have a blog up and running in no time. But not all blogs are welcome, especially in the fashion and beauty blogosphere. (The fact that my blog even took off as quickly as it did is remarkable to me!)

Allow me to explain...

When I entered the blogosphere last year, I couldn't contain my excitement. I finally had a creative outlet to showcase what I love -- fashion, trends, beauty, popular culture -- to a captive audience with similar interests. But getting other fashion blogs to read what I had to say, let alone link to me or [dare I say] actually say something nice was like pulling ice out of a polar bear's ass.

Now, many months and thousands of readers later, I have that captive audience I had hoped for. In fact, some of my biggest fans are in countries I can't even spell. And it would have never happened without my "seed blogs" -- the ones that saw something in me and helped me grow by linking and/or recommending my site. And to these BFF's (best blog friends) I will be forever grateful.

Here are the first ten superstars that got my site off the ground!

Love you guys! (You know, in a "fashion blog to fashion blog" kind of way ;P)

Awww, that is so sweet. You know, I think everybody feels the same way when they start out. I can totally relate to you. When I first started out, it wasn't all about me making clothes like it's right now, it was more about making fun of fashion and I craved for attention from other/more successful fashion bloggers. However I eventually got it when I started doing my own thing, creatively. Prom photo shoots to fashion collections, i didn't matter what it was but I got the support I needed. It meant and still means so much!
What I want to say is that if you do your own thing and come with something new/interesting and just have fun, then it will certainly pay out.
Like it does for you. So, just keep on doing what you love to do.
Hugs and love from Romania {not that hard to spell, is it? :P }

Aww! Thanks dear, I loved your blog from the moment I read it, and I read it everyday, except for those days when I don't have access to a computer; and, I'll continue to read it until the day you decide to stop blogging, which I hope is never!
