Got Two Turntables And a Microphone

Like many cool things from my childhood, the turntable has gone the way of the dinosaur. (Sure, there are audiophiles who still prefer vinyl records over digital music sources for their perceived fidelity, but they are in the minority.) When Grand Wizard Theodore pioneered 'scratching,' the turntable was forever relegated to sainthood, first by the Hip Hop community, then by anybody who could push a record back and forth while holding a pair of headphones in the other hand. (Yes, Lindsay, I'm referring to you.)

But we can't all be DJ's, right? And, at least for me, the vinyl record [while still cool as hell] will never be able to compete with my MP3 player. (I can't listen to Duran Duran's Rio forever, can I? Actually, I take that back. I can listen to it forever if Simon Lebon serenades me on the front lawn every evening at 8 pm sharp).

For you Millenials who were robbed of ever owning your own record player (mine was white with pink and pastel green buttons), you can drop $300 bucks on an Audio-Technica [that you will probably never use], or you can buy one of these [dare I say] 'dope' turntable accessories that seem to be popping up everywhere :)

These are all so cool - who could forget the good old turntable - being very careful not to get scratches on your records, jumping up to turn the record over, carefully moving the needle onto your favourite track:)

Mine was black with big green buttons and do miss it! The watch is totally summet I'd wear but the rest are a bit kitshy (I'm undecided if it's good or bad).
