When Godfrey Deeny from Fashion Wire Daily asked Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy about the inspiration for his fall/winter 2008 collection, Tisci cracked "Gothic Latino,” adding that a trip to Venezuela ignited many of the ideas. But, given the repetitive use of hexagons, filigree details, and architectural lines, I’m going to have to take it a step further with cathedral ceilings – from all parts of the world – as the specific influence for these pieces. Wouldn't you agree?
