Not since Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome have I seen as many black leather, torn fabric, and metallic finished frocks as at the recent Australia Fashion Week shows. (Even the most subdued collections threw in a few naughty pieces to heat things up a bit.) I'm just not sure if the designers were going for 'gothy sex kitten' or 'futuristic biker bitch'. Or perhaps it was a collective nod to the 1980's 'material girl' ensemble?
