Taking inspiration from sculptor Camille Claudel's work, Brazilian designer Melk Zda's Spring 2009 collection feels both haunting and romantic. Camille's passion for her art -- as well as her lover Rodin -- drove her to the brink of insanity. So it's fitting that each piece translates, if only metaphorically, as a tribute to tortured love, with the weightlessness of an angel juxtaposed with the heaviness of sculptural lines. I'm not sure if I like he drawings or the clothes better. They're both so gorgeous, though the drawings are much more hauntingly beautiful.
