Each year, the Fashion Institute of Technology graduates show off their creations in a prestigious, well-publicized fashion show (and rightly so, given the talent that emerges from FIT.) This year was no exception, with a-line hems, geometric patterns, and chunky trims taking center stage. Each piece (presumably drawing inspiration from different sources) lived nicely on it's own. But when placed side by side, many of the pieces reminded me of Alice In Wonderland characters, both the classic and modern day versions. Would you agree?
The Queen turned crimson with fury, and, after glaring at her for a moment like a wild beast, screamed "Off with her head!"
"No wonder you're late," said the Mad Hatter. "Why, this watch is exactly two days slow."
"We're all mad here," said the Cheshire Cat. "I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" asked Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."
"Oh my ears and whiskers, how late it's getting!" cried the White Rabbit.
For some minutes the Caterpillar puffed away without speaking, but at last it unfolded its arms, took the hookah out of its mouth again and said, "So you think you're changed, do you?"
"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense," said Alice. "Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?"

i never knew alice in wonderland had so many profound quotes!
A feast for the eyes. The (addition of) quotes was very clever. I love this.
