Still Full Of Hot Air

An article entitled "Up, Up and Away — In Style" caught my eye today -- not that I'm a hot air balloon enthusiast by any stretch of the imagination. But something has always intrigued me about the idea of floating high above the Costa Rican rain forest or coasting at a snail's pace above the Arabian desert. That is, until I got to this point in the article: "Hot air balloons are at the mercy of the atmosphere. They cannot be steered; pilots decide only when to start and when to stop."

Um, can you say hell no!? (Sorry, I'm not about to find myself floating down the Amazon river in an oversized basket.)
