Currently Obsessed With: Ana Šekularac

Either designer Ana Šekularac stems from a long line of superheros or she has liquid kryptonite running through her veins. (How else does one explain the impeccable craftsmanship and modern interpretations of every collection she stamps her name on?) According to her peeps, "Ana designs for strong and intelligent women who are sophisticated yet unconventional. Her design signature is sharp tailored garments with architectural elements and intriguing details (Hmmm, good to know. But that doesn't really answer my burning superhero question.)

According to Style Frizz, Victoria Beckham is a huge Šekularac fan, which is no surprise, given David Beckham's superhero status. And Vogue UK has been hinting at a U.S. invasion which, by my calculations, would require super-human power. (Are you still with me on this?)

In March, Leisa Barnett of Vogue UK confirmed that Ana "honed her skills at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in Italy and worked in fashion media before biting the bullet and launching her own-name label in February 2007." Biting the bullet? With her very own teeth? You don't say!? (Now, THAT, my friends is definitely worthy of superhero status!)

Okay. I haven't convinced a soul. But no matter -- her threads speak for themselves ;)
