Having spent the greater part of my adult life trying to decrease the appearance of my posterior region, the 'bubble' silhouette has always struck me as a bit odd. I can certainly appreciate the temptation to re-birth the look after endless seasons of denim minis and pencil skirts (which seems to happen about every 15 years) but am inevitably perplexed at the seeming lack of ingenuity the shape always finds itself settling on.

Over the past two years, designers have attempted to evolve the bubble silhouette by bringing the bulbous hemline high above the mid thigh or well below the knee. But some newer bubble trends have caught my attention, not because I'm dying to fill my closet with bubbly goodness, but because this may actually be the first time the silhouette is so distracting that nobody will ever notice my large ass hiding beneath it :)
