The Secret Lives of Elephants

Ganesha [the elephant-headed deity pictured above] is the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. By many, he is revered as the Remover of Obstacles [given his size and strength, I'm sure] as well as the patron of arts and sciences. For those of you wondering how an elephant god landed the coveted title of "patron of arts and sciences" then you've probably never seen an elephant paint or read about their mysterious sixth sense. But no matter. I'm just happy to see the elephant getting it's 15 minutes of fame.
