Jeremy Scott, Fall 2008New York fashion week is over, and all I have to say is Halle-freakin-lujah. With the exception of a handful of interesting collections and some serious fashion faux pas, I was [for lack of three better words] bored to tears. Yes, perhaps I'm being overly critical, but this girl needs to be wowed once in awhile.
Take the fall '08 catwalks. While some were overly dramatic, you could cut the suspense with a knife. And lord knows I need drama, over-the-top antics, and proverbial slaps in the face from fashion's finest to keep me alert. Take the mask trend, for instance. What girl doesn't need at least one disguise in her fashion arsenal? Perfect for ducking out of snooze-fest fashion shows or into members-only parties without an invite ;)
