Getting Caught With Your Pants Up

Since being announced as John McCain’s running mate for Vice President of the United States, "fiscal conservative" Sarah Palin has racked up over $150,000 in receipts from high brow stores like Neiman Marcus, Barney’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue. (Makes Hillary Clinton's two $3,000 stylist sessions look like chump change, you think?)

Now voters from both sides are more pissed off than a moose shot in the ass from a helicopter, so I thought I would help Ms. Palin get back some of her 'street cred' by dressing her in hipper (and way less expensive) threads from stores like Forever21, Wet Seal, Charlotte Russe, and Shana Logic. (I knew this was a bad idea when I started, but I just couldn't resist!) Oh, and more more thing. Imelda, can I borrow those taser heels? I thought I would let Sarah put them on before sticking her foot back in her mouth :)

What you've done is really brave. But dont you think that we should be giving the lady a chance. If we had access to such amounts of money we too would shop at Neiman Marcus, Barney’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Also when we girls want to get a point across a pair of jimmy choo always boosts the moral. But i really dig the emo vibe and the French student..

I guess we part ways on this one. The decision to get classic styles for Sarah to campaign in pales in comparison to the obscene amounts being paid to forward the Obama agenda. (Plaid Patagonia hunting gear was considered improper by the camaign managers.) There is a greater likelihood of bowing to contributor pressures and agendas once in office...they will be expecting and demanding their piece of the pie. Count on it!

In these troubling economic times, the country and its citizens need persons of integrity, fortitude, and a wide range of skills and experience to lead it. I trust that whoever is elected will remain focussed on all of us...like they all SEEM to be while campaigning. We never know what a person will do until he/she is immersed in power and can use it. We also need to be mindful of those who will advise the future president and pray that they are persons of integrity.

Rhetoric is a poor substitute for thoughtful action.

yes, a politician is a politician is a politician. but, if a party is going to stand on a pulpit of "fiscal conservancy," they should really practice what they preach.
