Dino Alves: 'No' To Mind Control

The concept of wearing a tin foil hat to shield the brain from such influences as electromagnetic fields and mind control has long been associated with conspiracy theorists (and paranoid schizophrenia, among others.) The belief is that such a creation can prevent harassment from governments, spies or paranormal beings by blocking radio frequency radiation that can penetrate the skull and leech or implant information into a person's brain.

So, imagine my surprise (shock? look of horror?) when these tin foil-esque hats appeared on Dino Alves' Spring 2010 runway. Either he's protecting the models from some unforeseen danger, or he's guarding them from the belly laughs and harsh criticism they'll get from wearing these ridiculous headpieces. (Sad, because I'm usually a huge fan of his work!)
